Oriental medicine is a unique medical system with its own medical theory, diagnosis system, and treatment techniques. It has a written history which goes back more than 2,000 years in China and has been practiced even longer. Oriental medicine is based on the idea that qi (energy) and blood flow through the channels and collaterals of a healthy human being. Disease occurs when the qi and blood have either become stagnant and do not flow well or they have become deficient and weak, or both. Oriental medical therapies seek to harmonize the flow of the qi and the blood, as well as strengthen and tonify the qi and blood when necessary. In other words, Oriental medicine seeks to aid the body in healing itself.

I don’t just believe in integrating east with west, I also integrate all that Chinese medicine has to offer. Many people come to me for acupuncture but what they may not realize is that acupuncture is just one branch on the five-branched-tree that is Chinese Medicine. The other branches include Chinese herbal therapy, massage therapy - Tui Na, nutrition & lifestyle, and meditation & exercise. My patients tell me that they always go away with much more than they came for.

Chinese medicine is all about optimal health.

I have been extensively trained in Chinese Medicine and use herbs in combination with acupuncture and other modalities, such as cupping, Gua Sha, Heat sensitive Moxa, diet therapy to form a tailored treatment plan for you.
