The treatment room is designed to be a peaceful sanctuary, with soft lighting and soothing music to create the perfect atmosphere for quiet reflection and deep relaxation. During your session, you’ll have the opportunity to rest in tranquility with the acupuncture needles in place—feel free to even take a nap! It’s common to leave feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and restored. This serene environment helps your body tap into its natural healing potential.

Quality Time with Your Practitioner

At Voda Acupuncture Clinic, you are my priority. I dedicate as much time as needed during both consultations and follow-up treatments to truly listen, assess, and care for you. I will take the time to discuss your medical history, conduct thorough exams, and determine the best way I can support your health. You will never feel rushed or overlooked. Similar to Western medical exams, the process may include range-of-motion testing, gentle palpation, Chinese pulse diagnosis, and tongue examination.

Dress comfortably

Please wear loose-fitting clothing that allows you to easily roll up your sleeves to your elbows and your pants to your knees. Also, be sure to have a light meal or snack at least 30 minutes before your treatment.

Treatment Plans

Treatment frequency can vary depending on your needs—ranging from daily sessions to a few times per week, every two weeks, or a customized schedule that may evolve based on your progress. Your personalized plan may include a combination of acupuncture, herbs, cupping, gua sha, or other non-needle therapies, all designed specifically for you and your unique health concerns.

Does Acupuncture Hurt

In most cases, acupuncture is not painful. Many people are hesitant to try it due to the idea of tiny needles, but they are actually very fine—about the thickness of a human hair—and are sterile, single-use, and solid. If you feel anything during insertion, it’s usually minimal. Unlike a syringe, which is hollow and can cause pressure and discomfort, acupuncture needles don’t carry any medication, so there’s no additional sensation beyond the gentle insertion.

Referral to Specialists

There may be times when I feel that we’ve reached the limits of what we can address for your condition, or it might be beneficial for you to consult a specialist. In these cases, my goal is always to provide you with helpful information, referrals, or recommendations for other treatments or practitioners who may be able to offer the support you need.
